Note from One Girl: During the hottest days of the summer, Lucia prefers staying close to home and in the air-conditioning. Mary is always up for a road trip!

The namesake of Dawn's great grandmother and a decadent choice, Lucia has a great balance of texture...we stir a pot of bubbling caramel for almost an hour to create the creamiest caramel and use a family recipe for the buttery shortbread.

This cookie walks the fine line of bittersweet. We use a double dose of chocolate, both cocoa powder and melted chocolate, to create a semi-sweet cookie and then fill it with lusciously sweet raspberry jam. A true juxtaposition of flavors.

Completely covered in white, Sadie is a truly pretty cookie. Hand zested orange and fresh squeezed juice give Sadie a clean, refreshing flavor. Perfect for those who appreciate the simpler things in life.

An all time favorite, this recipe came from Aunt Tina. We gave it our own twist and covered the outside with a mixture of roasted almonds and walnuts. The preserves are pureed for a smooth texture, to balance the crunchy nuts.

First you taste a delicious blend of spices that are undecipherable....hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and ground ginger. Then, the unmistakable flavor of Thai crystallized ginger kick in. Our very non-tradtional oatmeal cookie.

How can anyone go wrong with a melted mixture of fine chocolate, butter and cinnamon? The only way to improve upon that was to put it between two wafers made from roasted, chopped hazelnuts. Romeo never had it so good!
